Following Jimmy Thiebaud's lecture on Fondazione MATER and the founding of Refettorio Geneva, the Club has organized a lunch on Friday 18th of November 2022. The price of the menu was covered by participants on site. Drinks were offered by the club.
Refettorio Geneva is a community space merging the art of gastronomy, humanitarian aid and the cities vibrant history of innovation, creativity and science with social equity for those most vulnerable. Through the support of community organizations, private, public and civil sectors, we provide essential meals with radical hospitality to those isolated, experiencing homelessness and food insecurity. Behind every meal is a zero waste philosophy in a call to act, diverting food from landfill, preserving and restoring our environment while nourishing the body and soul. The price of the lunch paid by the public finances the same menu and overall experience as a free of charge dinner for vulnerable beneficiaries.
