Grocery shoppers are offered a pink bag at the start of their shopping session, to be filled and paid for in donation of the Genevan food bank Partage. Rotaractors who take part in the action take on the following tasks:Explain the concept of Samedi du Partage to local shoppersHand and retrieve donation bagsFill and sort containers of donation in an efficient manner Donations are entirely given to the Genevan food bank Partage, who sorts and redistribute the content to 50+ local associations while actively encouraging professional reintegration. Benefactors of Partage are associations working in the fields of women and mother shelters, poverty, elderly housing, support against drug addiction, etc. The items to donate are written and illustrated on the donation bags. On site, a volunteer member of Samedi du Partage will give you precise instructions. Although a locked room will be at your disposal for bags/coats, we recommend arriving with few for security reasons. Please note: available spots along Rotary Genève International at Migros Tourelle are limited, we recommend you to register quickly before your preferred time slot is filled!
