Dear Members and Prospects,
I extend my warmest greetings for the commencement of the new Rotary year! For those who have not met me yet, I am Marija Kudriavceva, your President for the term of 2022-2023. Currently, I am pursuing my studies in law and philosophy at the University of Geneva. With a proud association of seven years within the Rotary community, my journey began as a member of Interact International in my hometown of Vilnius, Lithuania. Subsequently, I had the privilege of serving two consecutive terms as President in 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. Apart from my deep passion for philosophy and law, I harbor a genuine love for language acquisition, literature, and contributing towards a better world.
I am thrilled and hopeful that each of you shares my enthusiasm to create positive change in the world during the forthcoming year! Together with my exceptional board members, Théophile Houessou (Vice-President), Chloé Ciriello (Secretary), Takhmina Nasimova (Treasurer), Claire Colin (Director of Membership), and Boris Fernandez (Director of Communications), we aim to embark on a journey that will bring about numerous transformative developments. One such change will involve the implementation of a project-based framework within our club. Consequently, as a Rotaract club, we will concentrate our efforts on a specific cause by conceptualizing and executing our own projects.
The first step towards this paradigm shift entails selecting the areas of focus upon which we will direct our collective energies. This is where I kindly request your valuable input. Please find at this address an online form through which we ask you to voice your preferences for the causes you wish to champion. We will be collecting responses until July 13th, following which we will circulate another form to facilitate the voting process for our target project causes this year. Our objective is to undertake at least one domestic project and one international project in the coming year, while remaining open to additional endeavors that align with our shared values.
