The promotion of peace has always been one of Rotary’s 7 pillar causes. As of today, there is three main ways you can join help for Ukraine with Rotary : providing supplies, funding the disaster response fund and providing accommodation for refugees.

1. Providing supplies to be sent to Kyviv and Lviv. As of now, most needed items are medical tools and drugs, as well as the following :

backpacks, diapers (children and adults), bandage, disinfectant, energy bars, raincoats, headlamps, power banks, batteries, solar chargers, talkie-walkies, helmets, non-perishable food.

You can bring such items to Eglise Sainte-Clotide from Monday to Saturday between 9.30pm and 7pm, where local associations (CSF-Genève amongst others) work together with the Ukrainian Embassy to send such materials. For an updated list of needs and collection points, please check the website : https://csf-ge.ch/mission/ukraine/

2. Funding the Disaster Response Fund of Rotary Genève International, which coordinates are the following :
Banque Cantonale de Genève
Rotary Club Genève International
IBAN: CH96 0078 8000 0505 1116 7
Please mention "Ukraine" in the deposit subject so that we allocate your donation correctly.

3. Providing short or long-term accommodation to refugees: Ukraine citizens are free to stay for 90 days within the Schengen area, which Switzerland is a member of. The Europe Rotaract Information Center (ERIC) is currently working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in order to provide a list of available accommodation. If you would like to provide such help, please fill the following Google Form document: https://bit.ly/3KuKhUr

There are also others ways you can help: attending or hosting a fundraising event, helping the transportation of refugees or supplies, etc. If you would like to learn more about Rotary and Rotaract’s help in Geneva, please join the dedicated Telegram Group : https://t.me/+PffCom8QGXw2MThk

Yours in hope,
