2017 - Rotary Day at the United Nations

Friday, November 10, 2017

Rotary Day at the United Nations celebrates two organizations’ shared vision for peace and highlights the critical humanitarian activities that Rotary and the UN lead around the world.

Under the theme of “Peace: Making a Difference,” Rotary honored six Rotary members or Rotary Peace Centers alumni who have done outstanding work for peace, professionally or as volunteers.

The Rotaract Genève International Club helped the Rotary Genève International Club to organize panels for the day, by organizing the Youth Leadership Workshop (400 attendees).

We were honored by the presence of :

Mr Scott M. Weber, Director-General of Interpeace, as the Moderator and Keynote Speaker.

Ms Barbora Gulejova, an enthusiastic scientific communicator with a global vision. She works at CERN as a coordinator of outreach and education activities. Before joining CERN, she worked as a scientific editor at IAEA in Vienna and at an NGO in Geneva specializing in sustainable energy.

Ms Rose Osinde Alabaster, Program Director for Africa at WaterLex International Secretariat.
